The Venetian Plaster Service is run and worked hands-on by Steve Osborne, a master-certified Venetian plasterer with more than twenty years in the trade and an approved installer for the UK's leading microcement material. Every job — from a single feature wall to a whole-home microcement floor — is carried out by Steve himself.
We work with private homeowners, interior designers, building contractors and commercial clients across the UK, from our base in Saffron Walden through Cambridge, Essex and London. Whether it's a waterproof Tadelakt wet room, a diamond-polished microcement floor or a marble-veined Marmorino wall, the finish is applied in layers, by hand, and logged with our suppliers from start to finish.

How we work
From free sample to sealed, logged surface.

Consultation and free sample
We talk through the surface, the room and the look you're after, then make you a free handcrafted sample in your chosen colour and finish — matched to RAL, Farrow & Ball or Little Greene — so you decide from the real thing, not a screen.

Specification and preparation
We confirm the right system for the surface and its use — microcement, Venetian, Tadelakt or a decorative finish — and prepare the substrate properly. On a minimum project of around 20 sq m, preparation is what makes a seamless finish possible.

Hand-applied in layers
The finish is trowelled on by hand in successive layers and burnished to its final sheen. Microcement floors typically run over a 6–7 day install; Venetian and Tadelakt are built up in three to four coats and polished.

Sealed, logged and handed over
The surface is sealed for its use — waterproof where it needs to be, UV-stable outdoors — and the project is logged with our suppliers, so the exact system, colour and batch behind your finish are on record.

Based in Saffron Walden, working across the UK.
We're based in Saffron Walden in north-west Essex, and cover Cambridge, London, Essex and the surrounding counties as our core patch — Bishop's Stortford, Great Dunmow, Newmarket, Chelmsford, Braintree, Bury St Edmunds and beyond. For designers, contractors and commercial clients we also travel nationwide, and our microcement floor installs are regularly delivered across London and Cambridge.
