Venetian Plaster Service is a specialist decorative-plaster and microcement studio run by Steve, working across Saffron Walden, Cambridge, Essex and London. Traditional lime Venetian plaster, Tadelakt, Marmorino, microcement and diamond-polished floors — master-certified, applied in fine layers, and finished to a burnished, waterproof surface.

One craftsman, one continuous surface — from bare wall to burnished finish.
Venetian Plaster Service is run by Steve, a plasterer with over twenty years' experience and the Masters Certification in Venetian Plastering. We apply traditional lime Venetian plaster, Moroccan Tadelakt, Marmorino, microcement, microtopping and diamond-polished floors across Saffron Walden, Cambridge, Essex and London.
These are handcrafted finishes, not off-the-shelf products — lime and marble dust laid in three or four fine layers, or a cement-and-resin coating troweled seamless across floors, walls and worktops. We work with private homeowners, interior designers, building contractors and commercial clients, and take on projects from 20 sq m upward.
The signature finish
Traditional Venetian plaster, applied by hand.
Lime and marble dust, laid in three to four fine layers and burnished until the wall reads like polished stone — waterproof, breathable and unlike anything a tile or a tin of paint can give. It's the finish the studio is named for.

How we work
From a handcrafted sample to a sealed finish.

Consultation & handcrafted sample
We talk through the room, the surface and the look you're after, then make a free handcrafted sample in your chosen colour and finish — so you're deciding on the real material in your own light, not a swatch on a screen.

Surface preparation
A flawless finish starts underneath it. We prepare and stabilise the substrate — walls, floors, ceilings or worktops — so the plaster or microcement bonds and reads perfectly flat once burnished.

Layered hand application
The finish is built up by hand in fine coats — three to four layers for Venetian plaster, a 2–3mm coating for microcement — then compressed and burnished to its final satin, matte or mirror sheen.

Sealing & handover
We seal the surface to make it waterproof and hard-wearing, log the project with our suppliers, and hand over a seamless finish ready for daily use — including wet rooms, floors and worktops.
