Polished plaster & microcement, answered.

Venetian plaster is a traditional lime-and-marble-dust finish built up by hand in three to four fine layers and burnished to a stone-like sheen — ideal for walls, ceilings and wet areas. Microcement is a modern 2–3mm cement-and-resin coating troweled seamless over floors, walls, stairs and worktops, with no grout lines and full underfloor-heating compatibility. We apply both, and help you choose the right one for the surface and the look you're after.

Yes — several of the finishes are made for wet areas. Traditional Venetian plaster is waterproof and breathable; Moroccan Tadelakt is sealed with black olive soap into a seamless waterproof membrane that's also antimicrobial and mould-resistant; and microcement can be used across full bathrooms and wet rooms. Because there are no grout lines, there's nothing for water to work behind.

Usually, yes — that's a large part of the appeal. Microcement is only 2–3mm thick and bonds to a properly prepared substrate, so it can often go over existing floors and surfaces without ripping everything out. The surface preparation is what makes it last, so we always assess and prepare the substrate first.

Always. Every project starts with a free handcrafted sample in your chosen colour and finish, so you can see the real material in your own light rather than judging it from a photo. Colours can be matched to RAL, Farrow & Ball and Little Greene references so the finish sits with the rest of your scheme.

It depends on the system and the size, but as a guide a Micro Quartz floor is typically a six-to-seven day install, applied and sealed in proper sequence. Polished-plaster walls and bathrooms are built up in layers over several days so each coat can draw and be burnished. We'll give you a realistic timeframe for your specific project up front.

Yes — we take on projects from 20 square metres upward. That said, larger feature walls, whole floors, bathrooms and commercial spaces are exactly where these seamless finishes come into their own.
