Venetian Plastering
Lime & marble dust · waterproof & breathable
Venetian plaster is the finish this business was built on. A blend of lime and fine marble dust, it's trowelled on in three to four successive layers and burnished to a soft, stone-like depth that flat paint can't reach.
Because it's both waterproof and breathable, it belongs as much in a bathroom, wet room or steam room as on a feature wall or ceiling — and it can be used on interior and exterior surfaces alike.
The layered method
Each of the three-to-four coats is applied and worked by hand before the next, then polished. It's this build-up, not a single thick coat, that gives Venetian plaster its characteristic movement and light.
Master-certified
Steve holds a Masters Certification in Venetian Plastering, earned in 2019 — the finish is applied by the certified craftsman himself, not handed to a crew.
Where it belongs
Walls, ceilings, bathrooms, wet rooms and steam rooms, interior and exterior. The breathable, waterproof surface makes it a natural fit for period and humidity-prone rooms.
